The QPIs are being developed collaboratively with the three Regional Cancer Networks (NCA, SCAN, WOSCAN), Public Health Scotland, and Healthcare Improvement Scotland. The aim is to improve survival and patient experience whilst reducing variance and ensuring safe, effective and person-centred cancer care. The Quality Performance Indicators (QPIs) for Thyroid Cancer are new and this is it will be the first time Thyroid Cancer has been audited in Scotland.
Analysis of QPIs is essential in improving and driving continuous improvement in Thyroid Cancer care
The Scottish Thyroid Cancer Network is aiming to publish its first QPI report in 2024.
